Privacy policy
How AZM collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit this website, talk to the AZM Assistant or send us a project brief.
01 Who we are
This website is operated by [AZM legal company name] (“AZM”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Arab Emirates under trade licence [Trade licence number] issued by [Licensing authority], with its registered office at [Registered office address], Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
AZM is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We handle it in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”) and other applicable UAE law.

02 What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and reply to you.
- Project briefs. When you use Build with AZM, we receive what you choose to send: the services you are interested in, a description of your project, your industry, company size, current systems, budget range and timeline, your name and email address, your company name and phone number if you add them, and how you prefer to be contacted.
- Conversations with the AZM Assistant. The messages you type to the assistant and the replies it gives, together with the language you are using.
- Builder and demo questions. The description you type into “What do you want to build?”, and the questions you ask “Ask AZM Command” on the dashboards demo.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and device information, which our hosting provider and the services listed below receive whenever your browser connects to them. We also hold your IP address in our server’s memory for up to an hour to limit how many requests can be made in a short time.
- Analytics data, only with your consent. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, which buttons you use (for example switching language, opening the assistant or starting a project), whether a brief was sent (not its content), how you arrived at the site, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser details.
- Your preferences. Your language, theme, motion and cookie choices, which are kept in your own browser (see Cookies and local storage).
We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health, biometric or genetic data, criminal records, or religious or political beliefs. Please do not include it in a brief or a chat.
03 How we use it, and why
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, because you asked us to, and as a step before a possible contract with you.
- To answer you in the assistant, the builder and the dashboards demo, to provide the feature you are using, at your request.
- To keep the site secure and working, through spam checks, limits on repeated requests and error handling.
- To understand how the site is used, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records that UAE law requires, or responding to lawful requests from the authorities.
We do not sell your personal data or use it to show you advertising. The assistant and the builder write their replies automatically, but they do not make decisions about you.
04 The AI assistant
The AZM Assistant, the “What do you want to build?” builder and “Ask AZM Command” on the dashboards demo are powered by Claude, an AI model. Their replies are generated by our AI provider, Anthropic.
When you send a message, your browser sends it to our server together with the earlier messages in the same conversation and the language you are using. Our server passes it to Anthropic, which generates the reply, and the reply is streamed back to you.
AZM does not store your conversations. Our server passes each message to Anthropic and does not keep it once the reply has been sent. The conversation stays in your browser tab and is gone when you leave or reload the page. If you choose to continue from the assistant to Build with AZM, your message is carried into the form within your browser, and reaches us only if you send the brief. Anthropic processes the content as our service provider to generate the reply, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Please do not share sensitive information with the assistant, such as passwords, card or bank details, ID numbers, health information, or anything confidential about other people. Replies are generated automatically and can be wrong. The assistant is not a member of the AZM team and cannot make commitments on our behalf.
05 Cookies and local storage
The site keeps a few small items in your browser to remember your choices. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. Analytics cookies are set only if you allow analytics.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
azm-consentLocal storage | Remembers whether you allowed analytics, and when you chose. | 12 months, then we ask again | Essential |
azm-localeLocal storage | Remembers your language (English or Arabic). | Until you change it or clear your browser data | Essential |
azm-themeLocal storage | Remembers the light or dark theme, if you choose one. | Until you change it or clear your browser data | Essential |
azm-liveLocal storage | Remembers whether the moving demos and animations are on or off. | Until you change it or clear your browser data | Essential |
azm-briefSession storage | Carries a project description from the assistant or the builder into the Build with AZM form. | Until the form opens it, or you close the tab | Essential |
_gaCookie | Set by Google Analytics to tell visitors apart, so visits can be counted. | Up to 13 months | Analytics |
_ga_<ID>Cookie | Set by Google Analytics to keep the state of your current visit. | Up to 13 months | Analytics |
When the spam check on the Build with AZM form is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile runs in your browser on that page to tell people from automated bots. We use it only to protect the form from spam.
You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. You can also delete these items in your browser settings, and the site will go back to its defaults.
06 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and how people find us. It loads only after you allow analytics in the cookie banner. If you decline, or have not made a choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Google Analytics receives your IP address and the analytics data described above. We have turned off its advertising features and Google signals, look at the reports in aggregate to improve the site, and do not use them to identify you.
You can withdraw your consent at any time from Cookie settings. Analytics then stops and its cookies are deleted from your browser; withdrawing does not affect what was collected before. We ask for your choice again after 12 months.
07 Service providers we share with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the site, and only what each of them needs for its job. They process it on our behalf.
- Vercel (hosting). Hosts the website and runs our server functions. Receives every request to the site, including your IP address and the content of the forms and messages you send.
- Anthropic (AI). Generates the replies in the AZM Assistant, the builder and the dashboards demo. Receives the messages and descriptions you send to these features.
- Resend (email delivery), when configured. Delivers your project brief to our inbox as an email. Receives the content of the brief.
- Cloudflare (spam protection), when enabled. Runs the Turnstile check on the brief form. Receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device.
- Google (analytics and fonts). Google Analytics, only if you allow it. Google Fonts also delivers the site’s typefaces, so Google receives your IP address and browser information when your browser downloads them.
- Our email provider ([email hosting provider]). Stores the enquiry emails we receive and our replies.
We may also disclose personal data where UAE law requires it, in response to a lawful request from a public authority, to protect our legal rights, or as part of a sale or restructuring of our business.
08 International transfers
Our service providers may store or process personal data outside the United Arab Emirates. The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers may be located outside the UAE, and Anthropic, Resend, Cloudflare and Google may process data in other countries, including the United States and member states of the European Union.
When personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we follow the PDPL’s rules on cross-border transfers and rely on the grounds it allows, such as contractual commitments from the provider to protect the data, or where the transfer is needed to provide the service you asked for. We take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected.
09 How long we keep it
- Project briefs and related emails: up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless you become a client. If you do, we keep what the project needs, and business records for as long as UAE law requires.
- AI conversations: not stored by AZM. Each message is passed to Anthropic to generate the reply and is not kept on our server afterwards.
- Request limits: your IP address is held in our server’s memory for up to an hour to count requests, and is not written to storage or shared.
- Analytics: kept in Google Analytics for the retention period we set there ([14 months]).
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived logs of requests (such as the time, the page and the IP address) for security and troubleshooting.
- Preferences in your browser: stay on your device until you change or clear them.
10 Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all traffic, keeping service keys on our server rather than in your browser, limiting how many requests one address can make in a short time, a spam check on the brief form when enabled, and giving access to enquiries only to the people at AZM who need it.
No method of sending or storing data is completely secure. If a personal data breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the UAE Data Office as the PDPL requires.
11 Your rights
Under the PDPL you have the right to:
- Access: ask whether we process your personal data, and receive a copy of it.
- Correction: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your data when we no longer need it or have no lawful reason to keep it.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data, for example while we check its accuracy.
- Objection: object to the processing of your data, including for direct marketing.
- Portability: receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable format, and ask us to send it to another organisation where this is technically possible.
- Withdrawing consent: withdraw any consent you have given, such as for analytics, at any time. This does not affect processing that happened before.
- Complaint: if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, complain to the UAE Data Office.
To use any of these rights, email support.azmai@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply without undue delay, and within any time limit the law sets.
12 Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change significantly affects how we use your personal data, we will make that clear on the site.
